Dinosaur Valley State Park- Glenrose, Texas

I've been going to Dinosaur Valley since before I can remember- way before it was a state park, and way before you couldn't touch the dino tracks. It was a great place to camp along the Paluxy River, snakes and spiders and wild animals galore- us kids could hike all day long.

Going back as an adult I see all the things I should have been afraid of- thank goodness I didn't see it as a child or I would have never explored that beautiful, untouched wilderness. I was there last week and found a small deer carcass- looked to have been caught by a coyote. It was spread out over a 50 foot area, I am sure there was some sharing going on...the vultures and hawks got the leftovers.
